Only well-positioned vineyards in the area, facing south, bathed in warm sunlight and unselfish effort and love of winegrower offer premium fruit, high quality grapes. Thanks to the efforts of our forefathers and the natural environment, our vineyards on the hills of Zagorje are a gifted with special values. We are proud because we are part of the beautiful MARIJA Bistrica region landscape. The result of winemakers’ success comes from vine stocks of course, the rest is comprised in the art of making wine in cellars by applying modern technology and the experience of generations of wine makers. This knowledge we have been cherishing in the family tradition, especially since 1958. , when our grandfather Dragutin founded the winery, and our father Ivan expanded the vineyards with 2000 to 4000 vines, while the grandchildren Mario and Mladen planted vineyards with 27,000 new vines. All of this is woven indelibly into the memory and as a future task of us who follow this tradition.
Currently, there is a full yield of 22,000 vines which are divided into 11 premium grape quality varieties: Pinot Grigio, fragrant Traminer, Chardonnay, Green Silvaner, Riesling, Rhine Riesling, Sauvignon Blanc, Muscat yellow, Kerner, Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot. The plan is planting another 10,000 vines of native or domesticated varieties, among which we would like to point out kraljevina.
